In Loving Memory of Richard Cafferty
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Cafferty at Montfort Hospital on the 15th of October, 2026, at the age of 89.
Richard will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Margot (née Leduc); his children Elaine Dawe (Wayne) and their sons Colin, Jason, and Steven; Diane and her children Nicholas, Vincent, Sandra, Julie, Thomas, Jonathan, Robert, Charles, Angela, Brigitte, Isabelle, and Anthony Sauvé; James and his son Jordan; Dennis (Josée Obomsawin) and their daughters Zoë, Mia, and Lili-Rose; as well as his 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will hold his memory close to their hearts. May he rest in peace.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais (Pavillon Lac-des-Fées), 95 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd, Gatineau (Hull sector).
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Clement Parish, 528 Old St. Patrick Street, Ottawa.
Interment will follow at Cimetière Saint-Rédempteur, 25 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd, Gatineau.
Following the burial, family and friends are invited to join us for a reception at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais (Pavillon Lac-des-Fées), 95 Cité-des-Jeunes Blvd, Gatineau (Hull sector).
