It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, far too soon, of Ronald “Ron” Bissonnette, of Gatineau, Quebec, who departed this life peacefully on March 22, 2026, at the age of 63. Ron was the youngest of nine children, born on January 30, 1963, in Cornwall, Ontario. Son of the late Ernest Albert Bissonnette and Marie-Blanche Marleau, he was cherished and will be greatly missed by Natalie, mother of his two daughters, Glory-Ann and Rosemary, of Gatineau.
He is survived by his siblings: Marc (Darquise), Robert (Hélène), Diane (Robert) Parthenais, Carole (Gilles) Sabourin, Rosaire (Linda), and François (Monique). Ron will be remembered for his great smile and sense of humour by his many nephews and nieces, as well as by his longtime friends and neighbours, Marc and Lucie. He was predeceased by his brothers Jacques and Réjean (“Reg”).
Ron was a Service Advisor at Myers Dodge Orleans for many years and was known for his stories, kindness, and friendship toward the many customers he helped. He enjoyed life to the fullest and especially loved doing renovation work in his home.
Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held in the spring, followed by the interment of cremated remains at Notre-Dame Cemetery in Cornwall, Ontario.
