Executor support program

Supporting those entrusted with honoring final wishes

Being named an executor (or estate liquidator) is an important — and sometimes heavy — responsibility. You are called upon to make decisions, manage administrative procedures, and ensure that a loved one’s final wishes are respected, often while coping with grief.

At the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, we have developed a personalized support program to guide you through this role with clarity, structure, and compassion.

Our program helps you:

Understand your legal and administrative responsibilities as an executor

Complete the urgent steps following a death (notification to the Registrar of Civil Status, etc.)

Manage the estate, in collaboration with notaries or financial institutions

Follow a clear, step-by-step action plan

Access letter templates, practical tools, and reliable resources

Ask questions to an experienced advisor, without judgment or pressure

An essential role — never alone

Being an executor means acting on behalf of someone who has passed away. This role deserves support equal to the commitment it requires. Our team is here to help you understand the procedures, legal obligations, and decisions you’ll face.

You are not alone.
