C’est avec regret que nous vous annonçons le décès de monsieur Serge Grenier survenu le 21 novembre 2025, à l’âge de 59 ans.
Ancien directeur adjoint retraité à Statistique Canada, il était l’époux de Christiane Nault et le fils unique de feu Alexandre Grenier et de feu Thérèse Dufresne Grenier.
Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses trois enfants Julien, Alexis et Émilie. Il laisse également son beau-père Nelson Nault, son beau-frère André Nault (Mireille) ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Il sera manqué par plusieurs oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines, parents et amis.
La famille recevra vos condoléances vendredi le 5 décembre de 18 h à 21 h à la Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais située au 1369, boulevard La Vérendrye Ouest.
Les funérailles seront célébrées le samedi le 6 décembre à 11 h à la paroisse Saint-Richard situé au 445, boulevard Saint-René Ouest dans le secteur Gatineau. La famille vous accueillera à compter de 10 h 30.

It is with regret that we announce that Mr. Serge Grenier passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 59.
A retired assistant director at Statistics Canada, he was the husband of Christiane Nault and the only son of the late Alexandre Grenier and the late Thérèse Dufresne Grenier.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children Julien, Alexis and Émilie. He also leaves his father-in-law Nelson Nault, his brother-in-law André Nault (Mireille) as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
The family will receive your condolences on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais located at 1369 La Vérendrye Boulevard West in Gatineau.
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6 at 11 am at Saint-Richard Parish located at 445 Saint-René Boulevard West in Gatineau.. The family will welcome you starting at 10:30 am.
For those who wish to do so, donations to the charity of your choice or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

I well-remember Serge from our elementary school, middle school, and high school years together. He first registered on my personal radar in elementary school because I fancied myself a decent artist. But Serge's artistry put me to shame, even at that early age.
And yet even at that young age Serge was marked by humility and generosity. He never had an unkind word for anyone. And no one was off-limits as a friend for him. I am certain this continued well into his adult life.

I went to High School at Bishop Macdonell with Serge. He was a fine human being and a kind person and left me many times with sore ribs from his sense of humor. We had quite a few classes together over the years at BM and i remember him fondly. It really breaks my heart hearing he has passed at such a young age. May your family find peace one day in the memories he has left for you.

I was very saddened to hear of Serge’s passing. Although it has been many years since our days at Bishop Macdonell in Guelph, I have always remembered him as a kind, positive, good-natured, and well-meaning person.

Je suis sincèrement désolée du décès d’un ami qui a cru en moi et m’a permis de me faire confiance dans ma carrière. Ce fut aussi un ami qui m’aida à traverser les montagnes russes de la vie.

Our sincerest condolences on the passing of Serge. My husband and I, both worked with Serge over the years at Statistics Canada. We have fond memories of his good sense of humour and his professionalism in the workplace. He was a very kind man who lived out his faith everyday and is now in the arms of his precious Saviour. Our deep condolences on the passing of Serge. His being our assistant director, we do appreciate the discussions and enjoy his unique sense of humour during meetings and casual conversations. The fond memories of keeping in touch after the retirement, sharing the latest on health and family matters would not be forgotten.
