It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Sedigeh Mehrabani, who left us peacefully on November 21, 2025, at the age of 93.
Sedigeh was the devoted mother of Ghasem Davoodi (Shahlah), Khosroh, Susan (Hashem), Parviz (Mahnaz), and Soheila (Fariborz). Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren: Shariar (Aurora), Shahin, Sophie (Miles), Ashley (Alan), Parisa (Mohammed), Paricher (Farzin), Milad, and Shaghayegh (Linh), as well as six beautiful great-grandchildren: Amelia, Parima, Mahoora, Ilyas, Nilou, and Lola.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She devoted every moment to her children and grandchildren, who were her pride and happiness. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Hull Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care during her final days, and to her family doctor, Dr. Marianne Simonyi-Poirier, for her kindness and support.
A celebration of Sedigeh’s life will be held on December 7, 2025, at 2 pm at La Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, 95 boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes in Gatineau.
In honour of her memory, we kindly ask all attendees to wear a white shirt.
Please note that a first celebration of her life was held on November 24 in Tehran, where her family and loved ones gathered to honour her legacy.
