It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Monica Fournier, born July 3, 1960, who passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026 at CHUM Hospital in Montreal.

Monica was a loving wife to Mike Souliere, a devoted mother to Christine McLean, a cherished mother-in-law to Mark McLean, a proud and loving Nana to Abbie and Arthur McLean, a caring sister to Dave Fournier and Larry Fournier, and loving sister-in-law to Sylvie Jodouin Fournier and Diane Charron. She was also a caring Aunt to Matt Brooks, Zak Fournier, and Melissa Fournier.

The celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 14, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS located at 1369, La Vérendrye O. Bvld, in Gatineau. The family will receive condolences as of 1:15 p.m.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Our family thanks everyone for their love, support, and kind thoughts during this difficult time.

Mom was only able to stay with us as long as she did because of the selflessness of an organ donor and her incredible health team at the CHUM hospital. In her honor, please consider registering as a donor or making a small donation to the CHUM Foundation https://fondationduchum.com/en/in-memory-gift/. There is no greater way to celebrate her memory than by giving someone else the chance to keep fighting, just like she did.

Deepest and most sincere condolences to you all, Mike, David and Larry. Great memories of your mom and dad when Larry and Guy were in hockey. Us parents had more fun on weekend tournaments after the boys were billeted in hosting families. My children, Mado and Guy Martial also send their condolences.
