Peacefully in hospital, on September 19th 2014, Michel (Mike) of Gatineau, at the age of 77. Beloved husband, best friend and golf partner to Colleen Moriarty for the last 55 years. Dear father of Michelle (Michel Lalonde), Stephen and Barbara (Rob Dempster). Loving grandfather to April, Stéphanie, Marc, Geoffrey and Bobby. He leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He is survived by siblings Monique (late Orville Hunt), John (Lyse), Odette (late Wayne ONeil) and Marcel (Jennette). He was predeceased by his parents Henri and Françoise Ethier (nee St-Onge), his brothers Gilles (late Leone), Paul (Martha) and Georges (Jeannine).
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 26th at 2 pm, at the Coopérative funéraire de lOutaouais, 1369, La Vérendrye Blvd West in Gatineau, followed by a reception at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
