It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lyall Edward Newton on March 15, 2026, at the age of 82. He was the son of the late James Elias Newton and the late Mary Veronica Clyne and partner to the late Louise Boivin.
He leaves behind to mourn his daughters Susie Newton (Onias), Lucie Boivin (Michel) and Lyle Boivin (Junior). He was the grandfather of Lynn, Denis, Michelle, the late Shawn, Erika, Malik and Myriam and the dear brother of Allan (Linda), Raymond (the late Maggie) and Kathleen (Marcel). He will be greatly missed by many friends, especially Fran Butler and Fern Hill.
We would like to thank the staff at the Papineau Hospital and Dr. Lambert for their excellent care of Lyall.

C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Lyall Edward Newton, survenu le 15 mars 2026, à l'âge de 82 ans. Il était le fils de feu James Elias Newton et de feu Mary Veronica Clyne et le conjoint de feu Louise Boivin.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses filles Susie Newton (Onias), Lucie Boivin (Michel) et Lyle Boivin (Junior). Il était le grand-père de Lynn, Denis, Michelle, feu Shawn, Erika, Malik et Myriam et le frère bien-aimé d’Allan (Linda), Raymond (feu Maggie) et Kathleen (Marcel). Il va beaucoup manquer à ses nombreux amis, notamment Fran Butler et Fern Hill.
Nous tenons à remercier le personnel de l'Hôpital Papineau et Dr Lambert pour les excellents soins prodigués à Lyall.
