Lieutenant-Colonel Edmond Lanthier
It is with deep sadness that we inform you that on January 13, 2022, Mr. Edmond Lanthier, 87, passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital. Edmond was born in Ottawa and has spent most of his professional career in the region.
He is survived by the love of his life Suzie Bourcier Lanthier; his sisters-in-law: Céline (Marcel Lortie), Ghislaine, Anne-Marie (Jean-Guy Saint-Martin), Marguerite (late Wilfrid Lanthier), Sharon (late Léo Lanthier) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Edmond also leaves to mourn his collaborators as well as an extended number of people in the large Air Cadet family. He devoted himself, without hesitation, for many years to the development of the Canadian air cadet program.
Edmond had Rotary tattooed on his heart and he will be missed by all his friends. He was President of the Hull Club, and Governor of the District for several terms.
Edmond was a CA by training and ran an accounting office for a few years before devoting himself full-time to the training of young people at CEGEP.
In recognition of his commitment, a donation can be made to: The Air Cadet League of Canada (Quebec) or The Rotary Foundation (Canada).
