Surrounded by her loving family, it is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved sister Deena Chitovas on Tuesday February 17th, 2026, at the age of 76.
Beloved daughter of the late Nicholas Chitovas and of the late Bernice Hamel, she leaves behind her sisters Nicole (late Edward), Ann (Richard), Jill, and her brother Gregory (Nora). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
The celebration of life will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS located at 95 de la Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard in Gatineau (Hull sector), on Sunday, March 15th, 2026 at 10 a.m. The family will receive condolences as of 9:15 a.m.
In memoriam, donations to the Alzheimer Society will be appreciated.
The family wishes to thank the nursing staff of the CHSLD Lionel Emond for their compassion and excellent care.

Entourée de sa famille aimante, c'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès paisible de notre sœur bien-aimée Deena Chitovas survenu le mardi 17 février 2026, à l'âge de 76 ans.
Elle était la fille bien-aimée de feu Nicholas Chitovas et de feu Bernice Hamel. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses sœurs Nicole (feu Edward), Ann (Richard), Jill, ainsi que son frère Gregory (Nora). Elle laisse également plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et chers amis.
Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu à la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS, située au 95, boulevard Cité-des-Jeunes à Gatineau (secteur Hull) le dimanche 15 mars 2026 à 10 h. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 9 h 15.
