May my support warm your heart

- Jo (José), on August 27, 2026

I’ve been thinking of you Patrick and your family during this difficult time. I have such fond memories of your dad, Bernard. He was quiet and reserved, but always had that little mischievous smile and a great sense of humor. I especially remember our Christmas gatherings chez Gram, when he loved playing little jokes on us just to make everyone laugh. Those are the memories of him that I’ll cherish. My thoughts are with you and your family. While it’s incredibly hard to say goodbye, I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that he is finally free from his suffering and at peace. Sending you lots of love and strength.

We were so saddened to hear of Bernie’s passing, and feel very grateful to have known him. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a gentle and welcoming nature, and always a twinkle in his eye. He raised extraordinary sons, including my brother-in-law, Barry, and it was clear how deeply he loved his grandchildren. Bernie will be remembered with great affection and missed more than words can say. Our thoughts are with the entire family. Love, Vandana, Greg, Quinn Slatter & family
