It is with deepest regret that we announce the sudden passing of António Rocha peacefully in his home on December 31, 2022 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Maria Helena Rocha (Torrinha) and loving father of John, Luis (Karla Rocha) and Sandra (Greg Jackson), he was also the cherished grandfather of Amanda, Marissa, Erika, Gabriella, Anna, Hayden and Evan. Predeceased by his parents Luis Miguel and Lidia. Survived by his brother Mario (Lina) and his sisters Ester Maria (Carlos) and Maria Elvira (José), he will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, both in Canada and in Portugal, as well as many dear friends in the Portuguese community of Ottawa/Gatineau.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 11 am at Notre-Dame-De-Fatima Portuguese Church (Igreja Católica Portuguesa Nossa Senhora de Fátima) located at 42 Hanson Street in Gatineau. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church as of 10 am, prior to the service.

Our sincerest condolences. Last time i spoke to him was at my father’s funeral. Hard to believe that within 2 months he would be gone as well.
May he rest in eternal peace.
