It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Frances Theresa Daly (nee Murphy) on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at the age of 90.
She was the beloved wife of the late Claude Gerald Daly and cherished mother of Daniel, Brenda (Stephen), Karen, and was predeceased by her son Kenneth.
Cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Stephane), Samantha, Kristina (Max), Jacqueline (Petrus), Jake (Amanda), Alex (Roxie), Kayla, and Liam (Keegan) and loving great-grandmother to Valerie, Cloe, Cal, Zoey, Josh, Nolan, Jayce, and Reece.
Mary was the loving sister of Mildred Joynt and Brian Murphy and was predeceased by her brothers Edwin, Kevin, Gerald and William and her by sister Verda Malcolm.
She will be fondly remembered by her former daughter-in-law Sandra Allen, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Wake will be held at la Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais, 1369 de la Vérendrye Boulevard in Gatineau QC on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church, 300 Abbé Murray Street, Gatineau, QC followed by a light luncheon in the Church Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donation to the Altzheimer Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
