C’est avec tristesse que nous vous faisons part du décès de monsieur Norman Joseph Arthur Labonté survenu le 30 septembre 2025, à Vancouver à l’âge de 48 ans. Né le 20 février 1977 à Ottawa (Ontario), il était le fils de Norman Paul Labonté et de feu Jeannette Moreau.
Outre son père, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, Keenan Labonté-Spare et Emma Matthews. Il laisse également ses proches et de nombreux ami(e)s.
Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu le dimanche 12 juillet 2026 à 14 h à la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS située au 95, boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes à Gatineau (secteur Hull).

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Norman Joseph Arthur Labonté on September 30th, 2025 in Vancouver, at the age of 48. Born on February 20st, 1977 in Ottawa, Ontario, he was the son of Norman Paul Labonté and the late Jeannette Moreau.
He is survived by his father, his children Keenan Labonte-Spare and Emma Matthews, as well as his many relatives and friends.
A Celebration of life will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, 95 de la Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard in Gatineau (Hull sector), on Sunday July 12th, 2026 at 2 pm.

I’d like express my condolences to the family and all of us still in disbelief that our Norm had passed. Although he and I had only known each other for a short time, maybe five years. We became pretty tight brothers, as he knew I had his back and unlike 99% of the people we meet; that he could trust me and I him. I became the first and last person to see him when he would travel, dropping him off or picking him up; he knew I wouldn’t tell anyone where he was. It’s been almost a year since he’s been gone and it seems even longer. I’m going to try and make the trip out there in July, I miss you my brother.

To the Labonté family.
Norm was a very intelligent guy. He could get him self out of situation and resolve many problems.
He was heard when he spoke because it made sense.
He was very street wise.
The last few years I did not talk to him because of his situation,
But I tried to help him.
My hart goes out to you sir Norman. (Papa smurf), Like my brother Joel use to call you :)
