Ruth Ann Emond (née McConnery)
(1941 - 2016)
Ruth Emond nous a quittés le 15 août 2016 pour aller rejoindre son tendre époux, Marcel Emond, le jour même où ils avaient uni leur amour il y a 52 ans.
Elle était la fille de feu Daniel McConnery et de feu Veronica O’Connor de Lytton. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles Lynn (Rodolphe Emond), Louise (Michel Weber), Sylvie (Benoit Leguerrier), ses petits-enfants adorés Valérie (Maxime Levesque), Nicholas, Jacob et Mégann. Elle laisse également sa sœur Alice (feu Oscar Lacroix), et ses frères Gordon (Rose Imbeault) et Roy. Elle laisse également ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs: Laurier (Alice), Lionel (Jeanne D’Arc), Georgette, Aline, Annonciale, Éliane, Pauline et Irene, ainsi que de nombreux cousin(e)s, neveux, nièces, parents et de très bons ami(e)s. Elle fut prédécédée par ses frères Arthur, Carl, Vincent et Bernard.
Les proches et amis sont invités à une célébration de prières, en présence des cendres qui aura lieu le vendredi 19 août 2016 à 10 h à la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS située au 1369, boul. La Vérendrye ouest à Gatineau. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 9 h 30.
La famille aimerait remercier le personnel des soins palliatifs du CSSS de Gatineau, l'UMF de Gatineau, ainsi que tout le personnel et les bénévoles de la maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie qui ont veillé sur elle comme des anges tout en lui prodiguant d’excellents soins.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Ruth Emond, on Monday August 15, 2016. She left peacefully to join her much loved and cherished husband, Marcel Emond, on the very same day that they had united their love 52 years ago. Daughter of the late Daniel McConnery and Veronica O’Connor of Lytton.
Beloved mother of: Lynn (Rodolphe Emond), Louise (Michel Weber) and Sylvie (Benoit Leguerrier). She will be fondly remembered by her loving grandchildren: Valérie (Maxime Levesque), Nicholas, Jacob and Mégann. Beloved sister of: Alice (late Oscar Lacroix), Gordon (Rose) and Roy. Ruth will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends.
Predeceased by her brothers: Arthur, Carl, Vincent and Bernard. She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law: Laurier (Alice) and Lionel (Jeanne D’Arc) as well as her sisters-in-law: Georgette, Aline, Annonciale, Éliane, Pauline and Irene.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of prayers at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS located at 1369, La Vérendrye Blvd West in Gatineau on Friday August 19th at 10:00 a.m. Family will receive condolences at 9 :30 a.m.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the CSSS of Gatineau, the UMF clinic in Gatineau as well all the gentle staff and volunteers at Maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie who provided excellent care to our mother and watched over her as only guardian angels can do.
