It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Schingh, 85 years old, on May 30, 2014 at the Ottawa Hospital (General Campus), formerly of the Perley/Rideau Veterans Health Centre. Beloved husband of the late June Schingh for 62 years. Loving Dad to Bruce (Karen), Linda (René), John (Aggie) and daughter-in-law, Leslie. Predeceased by his children, Gary and Anne-Marie. Treasured Papa to Stacey (Tim), Tina (Adam), Kevin, Sean (Gen), Patrick, Corey, Mary and Sarah. Cherished Great Papa to 8 great grandchildren. Dear Brother to Therese, Jeannine (Jacques) and Suzanne (Richard). He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Eileen (Bert) and nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the Ottawa Hospital (General Campus), Emergency and ICU Dept.s for their exceptional care.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 300 de lAbbé-Murray St., Gatineau, QC. You may express your condolences to the family 30 minutes before the service.
