BOURQUE, Jean-Maurice
Bourque, Jean-Maurice Peacefully at Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie, on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the age of 70 with Gracia (Grace, née Mazerolle), his loving wife of 48 years, by his side. Jean-Maurice was predeceased by his parents Lorenzo and Claudia. He is survived by his children André (Cindy), Jean-Pierre (Hélène) and Michelle (Frank) as well as grandchildren: Matthew, Jasmine, Megan, Catherine and Jeremy. He is also mourned by his brothers: Paul, Conrad, Charles and Louis as well as a large extended family and many friends. Jean-Maurice was born in Moncton, New Brunswick in 1943. He and Grace moved to Ottawa in 1970 for him to accept a position with the Canadian Teachers' Federation (CTF) where he worked for thirty years and retired in 2000 as the Director of Communications. He was an avid golfer, car enthusiast and skilled woodworker, all which he enjoyed in his retirement. Family and friends may pay their respects at Le Domaine des Trembles, 250 St. Raymond Boulevard, Gatineau on Thursday, May 16 between 7:00 and 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17 at l'Église de Notre-Dame de Lorette, 45 rue Prévost, Gatineau. Condolences will start at 10:00 am and the service will be held at 11:00 am. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in memory of Jean-Maurice to Maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie.
