It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of

Valerian Gagnon

He passed away on May 5, 2018, at the age of 92.

Beloved husband of late Mary Amelia Luck, he leaves behind his two daughters: Sharon (Norman Thibodeau) and Brenda.  He was the grandfather of: Phillip (Tammy), Alfie (Melissa), Josh (Vanessa), Brad, Angeline (John), Nikko and great-grandfather of: Mack, Briana, Mark, Kyle, Loukas, Jackson and Blaize. He also leaves his brothers and sisters: Lorney (Loella), Jim (Emma), Bertha, Lila (Bruce) as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Mary Fleury, John Gagnon, by his son Peter John, his brothers: Aloysious, John, Donald, Garnett (Loretta), Rene, Harold, Stan; his sisters: Gladys, Marilyn and Magdalen.

The celebration of his life will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, 95, Cité-des-Jeunes Bvld in Gatineau (Hull sector) on Sunday May 27, 2018  10 am . The family will receive condolences as of 9:30 am.

My heart goes out to you on this sudden passing.He lived a long and wonderful life and we can only say that we were extremely fortunate to have met this giant of a man. Will miss his "stories" when we have get togethers.
