1936 - 2025

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Marcel Lucien Tremblay on March 12, 2025, at the age of 88.  He was the husband of Mrs. Micheline Mongeon, the son of the late Ovila Tremblay and of the late Florence Deslauriers.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children : Chantal (Charles), Marie-Christine et Anick, his grandchildren : Juliette-Laure et Renaud as well as his sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 10 am at La Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, 1369 La Vérendrye Boulevard West in Gatineau.

In lieu of flowers a donation to the War Amputees – Québec would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the team of the CLSC of Val-des-Monts for the good care provided.

Marcel’s Family

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Marcel. He was my father too. I never knew him. I have been trying desperately over the last few years to make a connection with him to no avail. I hope someday to meet his daughters. Please know I am sending you all condolences and compassion in this difficult time. He sounds like he was a very well loved person and I am saddened that I never got the opportunity to know him. I did enjoy the one and only conversation he and I had. We laughed and talked about all we had in common. For me, it was transformative to hear his voice after spending a lifetime looking for him. Rest in peace Marcel….

Micheline and family

Dear Micheline,
Don and I were saddened when we heard of the loss of Marcel. We had not seen him for some time. He was a pleasure to be around for his interesting viewpoints and the sense of humor shown by the twinkle on his eye.
Marcel kept us intrigued when discussing his "great Canadian spy novel". He did not even have to finish it but we are satisfied to imagine the story ourselves!
Please know that we send you our heartfelt condolences for the loss of your husband, the father of your daughters, and grandfather.
May you all find peace and joy in the memories you shared.
