Lise Loyer

Claire and family,
I am very sorry to learn about Lise's passing on October 18. Lise always fought her health issues with a steely resolve and it seemed she would prevail. It is never easy when the end comes.
Lise was a valued member of the staff at the Canadian Association of Optometrists. There are many certified optometric assistants throughout Canada who have Lise's name on their training certificates. She exemplified professionalism that served to inspire her training team and students.
At the office and social gatherings, Lise could always be counted on to lift our spirits to tackle challenges and to have a good laugh. We became friends, not just work colleagues.
Claire, you were such a wonderful care giver for Lise. It seemed to solidify your sisterhood and was not a burden, despite the considerable responsibility and effort on your part. Lise was blessed to have you there for her.
I regret not being able to attend the celebration of life on Nov. 30. Eloise and I will be out of the country. We will take pause, on that day, to remember.
Our sincere condolences.

Claire
