AUBREY, Lionel

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lionel Aubrey peacefully at home, on April 16, 2023, at the age of 72.

He is survived by his loving wife Louise Simpson, beloved father of Michael (Jolie Brant), Candice (Matt Moffitt) and proud grandfather to Coralie, Mackenzie and Meghan. Lionel was the son of the late Gerard Aubrey and the late Irene Rock. Predeceased by his brother Earl (Diane) and sister Theresa. He is survived by his brothers Gerry (Barb), Ken, Rene (Shelley) and Robert (Cathy), sisters Colleen and Mary Ann (Marcel), brothers-in-law James and Peter, sister-in-law Marie Anne (Mario), numerous nieces and nephews. Also survived by the mother of his children Sue Macrillo. He will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais located at 1369, La Vérendrye Blvd West in Gatineau. The family will receive condolences at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute.
