1934 - 2024

Vicente Gomez passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the age of 89 with family by his side.  Beloved husband of the late Concepcion (Conchi) Perez and son of the late Maria Garcia and the late Alberto Gomez.

He leaves behind his daughters Carmen Gomez (Robert Lecuyer) and Valle Gomez (Richard Sims); his grandsons Vincent Rutt (Anna Katra) and Christopher Rutt (Sashsha Rusenstrom) and his great-granddaughters Anastazja and Amelia Rutt-Katra. He also leaves behind his brother Manolo (Maria-Jesus) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten. 

The celebration of his life will be held at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, 1369 La Vérendrye Boulevard West in Gatineau on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2 p.m.  The family will receive condolences at 1:30 p.m.  It will also be possible view the ceremony online, live or by replay, by following the link https://commemora.tv/en/diffusions/85679  In case of technical problems during the live broadcast, a replay will be possible later.

For those who wish to do so, in lieu of flowers, donations to the foundation of your choice can be made in his name.

The family wishes to thank the Gatineau Hospital palliative care staff for their support and good care.

Valle and Carmen

I will always remember your dad as a tall man, especially when beside your mom, and who would do his best to communicate when I would visit, as I with him with my little Spanish. A ready smile for his visitors and he would also like to have fun and joke too. Was sad to hear of his passing.

It is very difficult to let go people that you love and respect, I hope that the void is fulfilled with the memories, the lessons that you learned with him, and the fortune that you had for having him in your life for so many years, it is a blessing itself.
