It is with great regret that we announce the passing of Roger Legault on October 23, 2023, at the age of 92. He was married for 51 years to his loving wife, the late Jeannine Lessard and is survived by his only child Pierre, daughter-in-law Eileen Griffin and grandchildren Isaac, Elise and Annabelle. Predeceased by his sisters Carmen and Georgette, he is also survived by his nephews Roch Dompierre (Ann Charron) and Stéphane Dompierre (Lynn Cornellier), his nieces Roxane Dompierre (Warren Newman) and Jo'Anne Bates, as well as many cousins and friends.
Roger was born in Hull and grew up in the Outaouais region. He was much appreciated by those around him throughout his 37-year military and the Senate Security Services career. Roger was generous with his time and love for his family and for all who knew him. The memory of his contagious smile and kindness will remain forever etched in our memories.
A funeral service, in the presence of his ashes, will be celebrated at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS at 1369, La Vérendrye O. Bvld in Gatineau, on Friday December 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive condolences as of 9:15 a.m.
