DUGUAY LORTIE, Rita

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Duguay Lortie on April 8, 2023, at the age of 89 years old. She was the wife of the late Marcel Lortie and daughter of the late Joseph Duguay and the late Geneviève Doucet. She leaves behind her children: Jean (Pierrette Guitard), Gisèle (Pasquale Di Censo), Carmen (Michel Proulx), Paul (Ginette Renaud) and Lynne (Philippe Salmon), her grandchildren: Michel, Daniel, Véronique, Luc, Guillaume, Geneviève and Isabelle, as well as many great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 29, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais located at 1369 La Vérendrye Boulevard West in Gatineau. Family will receive condolences as of 9:15 am. In lieu of flowers, a donation to an organization of your choice would be appreciated.

Aux cinq enfants ,mais tout particulièrement à Carmen, Gisèle et Paul

Alors que je consultais la nécrologie dans le journal le Droit , j'ai immédiatement reconnu votre maman .Elle n'a pas changé, mais qu'elle belle femme, je me souviens de sa grande générosité, son dynamisme toujours aux petits soins pour ses enfants ,je sentais à quel point elle vous aimait. Voir sa photo a fait remonter en moi tellement de souvenirs. Peu importe son âge ,perdre sa maman laisse un énorme vide et crée une immense peine. Je tiens à vous partager combien j'ai apprécié votre sollicitude lors du décès de mon fils en 2009. Même si on ne s'est jamais revue je tiens à vous dire que vous aurez toujours une place spéciale dans mon coeur.
