FOLDES, Jean

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Jean Foldes on January 14, 2023 at the age of 100 years old and seven months.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Eva Biro, his children Ildiko, Aniko, Tunde (Robert Paré), Csilla and Emese (Michel Trempe); his grandchildren Caroline, Jerôme, Guillaume, Alexandre, Andréanne, Thomas, Mélanie, Dominique, Émilie, Ève Emanuelle and their spouses as well as well as his 13 great-grandchildren.  He also leaves his many friends in the Ottawa Hungarian community.  He was predeceased by his parents Jean Foldes, Maria Steinhoffer and by his son Csaba.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 12 noon in St. Elizabeth Church, 1303 Leaside Avenue in Ottawa, Ontario K1Z 7R2.  Family will receive condolences as of 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Hull Hospital Foundation or to the CHSLD Foundation of Aylmer would be appreciated.

The family wishes to thank the Hull Hospital personnel and the CHSLD of Aylmer personnel for the excellent care provided to him in the last few months.
