It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gil Nascimento on February 22nd, 2024 at the Hull Hospital, at the age of 85. Beloved son of the late Manuel Silveira do Nascimento and of the late Serafina Silveira Brasil. He leaves behind his loving children Lina (Antonio) and Egidio (Celeste); his five cherished grandchildren Kevin (Carolyn), Melissa, Ryan (Tiffany), Christopher and Karina. He also leaves his sister Fatima Soares and sisters-in-law Natal Nascimento, Fatima Bettencourt and Eduarda Bettencourt, and several nephews, nieces and friends. Predeceased by his wife Ana Nascimento (nee Bettencourt), daughter Maria Goretti, brother and sisters:- João, Deolinda and Lurdes. 

Given there will be no visitation, the family will be available to receive condolences prior to the funeral service from 10h to 11h on Saturday March 2nd, 2024 at Mission catholique portugaise du St-Esprit located at 13, rue Ste-Bernadette, (Hull sector) in Gatineau. The funeral service will be held thereafter at 11h followed by the interment at 12h30 at the Jardins du Souvenir St-Rédempteur cemetery located at 25 boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes (Hull Sector) in Gatineau.
