Dad
Dad, we got the chance to reconnect before you passed away. We had one amazing day together December 30th. We both were genuinely happy and kept talking about how much fun we had. I was able to give you your hugs that you so needed. I heard you laughing and I saw you being the daddy of Lily whom you so cherished. I made you a nice meal and you are everything. We shared some salami genoa like the good old days. I talked about how you had nice teeth and you said thanks I wash them. And later when the salami got stuck you took out your dentures. When we watched a movie you kept moving your feet and I thought it was so cute. We were both really happy. I asked for one photo of you and I'm glad I took one last photo. I didn't know it would be our last meal. We had plans to see each other again. For you to do some dad things to help me out and for us to go grocery shop at Adonis together. I was really looking forward to all of that. I'm gonna do my best to honor and respect you in your death. You'll always be in my heart. You know how much I love you. I am grateful to have reconnected with you and to have had that amazing last day together. Love you Dad ❤️
