BUSKE MONTSION, Ethel

It is with sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ethel Buske Montsion on February 4, 2023, at the age of 85. She was the wife of the late Maurice Montsion and the daughter of the late Herman Buske and the late Emma Farmer.

She is survived by her daughter Monique (Kirk) and her son Gilles (Chantal), her grandchildren Matthew, Nicholas (Tessa), Mitchell, Luc and Isabelle, as well as by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Violet.

Ethel lived a full life, retiring early from the CBC and traveling with her beloved husband. Ethel’s love for her family was always uppermost in her thoughts and deeds. She was energetic, a woman of action, the cornerstone of our family, a beautiful mother and grandmother, and a wonderful wife. Words cannot express how much we will miss her.

A celebration of her life, in the presence of the ashes, will take place on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais located at 95, de la Cité-de- Jeunes Boulevard in Gatineau. The family will receive condolences beginning at 1:15 p.m.You will be able to watch the ceremony live or in replay via the following link:https://commemora.tv/fr/diffusions/68967
In case of technical problems during the live broadcast, a replay will be possible later.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (skin cancer research) would be appreciated by the family.
