It is with profound sorrow that the family of André Sarkans announces his passing on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Hull Hospital in Gatineau, surrounded by family.

He leaves behind his cherished son Christian (Magalie), his dear sister Silvia (Fred), his brother Karl, his ex-wife Danielle and many relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.

In accordance with his wishes, no funeral or celebration of life will be held. Instead, we encourage family and friends to cherish their memories of him and keep him in their hearts. Those who wish may also reach out to the family to share a word or memory.

To my Brother. You made me laugh, you were my friend, my confidant and stood by my side through good and bad times through our lives. Even though you were 7 years older than me, you protected me, convinced me to do stupid things and dressed me funny (when I didn't know better) , but now that has left me with the greatest memories that I will carry till we meet again and can share more laughs. As I shed tears, please feel at peace. Love you, miss you and Proud to be your sister and have shared memories. No one can even take that away. Caw!Caw! , you know what that means
