Murphy, William A. (Bill) 1936-2016
It is with sad but peaceful hearts that the family annonces the passing of a much loved husband, father and grandfather. Dad passed away March 25 at the age of 80 after a short fight with cancer. Son of the late Peter A. Murphy and Eileen Lavigne. Much loved husband of Geraldine (née Robinson) for almost 60 years. Proud father of Bernie (Colette), Rob (Karen), Randy (Paula) and Linda (Chris Holmes). Always so happy to see his grandchildren Amanda Murphy, Allison and Brent Murphy and Spencer Holmes. Survived by one sister Pauline. Predeceased by son Joseph and sisters Doreen, Ruth and Coleen. A very heartfelt thank you to all the nurses and doctors at the Gatineau Hospital.
A funeral prayer will be held Thursday, March 31st, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais, 1369 boul. La Vérendrye Ouest, Gatineau, with a light lunch to follow. The family will receive condolences, beginning at 1 p.m.
