C’est avec une immense tristesse que nous vous faisons part du décès de Sandra Veldhuizen le 11 décembre 2021 à l’âge de 38 ans. Elle était la fille de Martine Mercier et de Peter Veldhuizen. Outre ses parents, elle laisse dans le deuil son époux James Jones, son frère Eric et sa femme Vickie Vilon; ses grands-parents paternels Sebastian et Maria Veldhuizen, sa grand-mère maternelle Raymonde Lebeuf, ainsi que ses oncles et tantes, neveux, nièces, cousins et amis.
Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu le samedi 9 avril à 14 heures à la Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais, 1369, boulevard La Vérendrye Ouest à Gatineau. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 13 h 15. I can only imagine the pain you are feeling. Dear family of my Beloved Wife, I want to extend my deepest condolences and take this moment to express the eternal love I have in my heart for Sandra Emily Jones.
Wife, Daughter, Sister, Niece, and Aunt. She was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me She was the love of my life. She was the centre of my Universe and the Sun in my sky. My partner and my Soulmate in this World. She was a guiding light to me and She was my safe harbour in a stormy Sea. She was an amazing Human being and the most Beautiful Woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. There is not a moment that passes that I do not miss Her presence in my life and without Her much of the solace and meaning I found in this World is gone. She was my better half in so many ways and in her absence I am merely a hollow husk and a shadow of the man I was with Her here in my life.
Nothing I can say can express the total and complete absolute loss that I feel. I extend my deepest sympathies knowing that you share that loss. The World was a far more rich and vibrant place with Her in it and I honestly can hardly fathom a future without Her. She was a deeply sentimental person much like myself and She kept the post card Peter sent with Black Jack and Squirrel, it was pinned to a board She pinned all of our memories on. On it She had the ticket stubs to every concert that we ever attended and every card and all of the well wishes we received throughout our life together. Every Love note that we left one another throughout our entire relationship was on there, the plane ticket stubs and memorabilia from Her trip to Japan She went on with Peter, Her Father too, as well as a picture of Her dearly departed friend Star. She loved you all with all of Her heart and She loved me in a way that completed me and in a way I have never experienced before having the good luck to have had Her enter my life.
She was a sensitive and loving Wife and She was a brave soul who served Her community selflessly both before and after the pandemic came along. She faced the unknown danger that it presented stoically and with a brave heart. She was the kind of person that we could and should all aspire to be. She left this planet far, far to soon and I hope with all of my heart to be reunited with Her one day. That is what Heaven would look like for me, to be reunited with my Wife. I am truly deeply sorry for your loss and my Heart goes out to all of you who shared a love for Sandra on this day.

Sandra was truly a blessing to have around, always happy to see a coworker and have a quick chat, she made my day every time I saw her. It is indeed a tragic loss to have her leave us so soon, I think of her often, and her presence will be missed by all who knew her.
