With profound sadness the family announces the passing of Mrs. Rollande Dansereau at the age of 81. Mrs. Dansereau passed away peacefully at the Hull Hospital in Gatineau, Quebec.
Rollande was born in North Cobalt, Ontario November 26th,1934 and lived in Haileybury until she moved to Montreal, Quebec to work at the "Hôpital de la Miséricorde", later she met her husband Dr. Alphonse Dansereau, who she worked with for many years until he closed his office. Mrs. Dansereau was a long time Montreal resident and spent the last 7 months at la Résidence de l'Ile in Gatineau, Quebec to be close to her family. Rollande will be remembered as a kind and generous lady always putting the needs of others before her own and very dedicated to her family.
Mrs. Dansereau is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Alphonse Dansereau; parents James Patrick and Dora McMahon (St Louis); her sisters: (Patricia) Mrs. Leo Lafond, (Bernadette) Mrs. Ron Carmichael, (Vivian) Mrs. Donald Thompson; and her brothers: (twin) Roland, Leonard, Noël, Matthew, Gerald, and John.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais, 95 boulevard Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau, Quebec on Sunday May 15th, 2016. Viewing will be at 9:00 am followed by a ceremony from 10:00 am to 11:00. Message of condolences can be left at www.cfo.coop.
