In loving memory of Kamal Youwakim Saliba. He passed away peacefully at the Hull Hospital on September 28th at 11:55pm with his family at his bedside.
An amazing husband of 35 years to Rima Saliba and a devoted father to Joyce, Jason and James Saliba.
He was much more than a great man. He was a great human being. A man with the soul of an angel who touched the hearts of all those who had the privilege of being around him. Laughter and music and the exceptional care he devoted to his patients smiles were his tools in building memories that were cherished in his presence, but forever remembered after his passing.
He taught us, his children, about love and respect, but above all else, he taught us how to be great people and to stand up for what we believe in and love.
He had an amazing ability to entertain any crowd. Mostly with his music, sometimes with his jokes, but always with his smile.
We loved him more than anything, but God called his son back for reasons we may not now understand. Maybe God wanted his favorite drummer back a little earlier.
If all the lessons he taught were forgotten, only one shall remain. The lesson of living your life not to the end of the song, but to the beat of the drum roll.
The funeral will be on Friday, October 3rd at 11 am at the St-Elias Orthodox Cathedral located at 750 RIDGEWOOD Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario.
Visitations will be on Thursday, October 2nd from 6 until 9:30pm and from 9 to 10am on Friday, October 3rd at the Cooperative Funeraire De Loutaouais located at 95 Boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes, Gatineau, Quebec.
