It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful death of John Ivan Ruedl
on May 23rd, 2015 at the Montfort Hospital, at the age of 84.
Beloved husband of Bernadette Laframboise. He leaves behind his loving children : Mary-Anna (Jacques Blais), Joanne (Michel Racicot), Leonard (Lise Gélinas) and Patrick (Tammy McVey); his cherished grandchildren : Yvan Racicot, Michel Racicot (April Spiering), Christine Ruedl, Daniel Ruedl and Allison Ruedl; his 2 great-grandsons: Liam and Owen Racicot. He also leaves his sisters : Paula (late Joseph Zupsich), Antonia (Florijan Duh) and Milka (late Tomasz Blaznik); and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his parents: Anna and Ivan Ruedl and his sisters: Maria and Mira (late Franz Krause).
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2015 at 11:00 at St. Margaret Mary Parish church located at 2571 Hway 174 in Cumberland, Ontario. The family will receive condolences at 10:00 a.m.
In accordance with John's wishes, donations may be made to Amnesty International.
The family wishes to thank the Montfort hospital staff and his numerous caregivers for their care and dedication over the years.
