The Gratton family
I worked with Ernie many, many years ago at the CRA. He was a great man. A man I will never forget. He was thoughtful, caring, fun and very proud of his family. My deepest sympathies for the loss of this wonderful man.

décédé le 6 juin 2016, à l’âge de 81 ans. Il fut prédécédé par son épouseadorée Jeannette St-Onge, son père Lionel, sa soeur Denise et son frèreClaude. Il laisse dans le deuil sa mère Laurence Osborne Gratton; sesenfants: Lucie (Pierre Malette), Charles (Nicole Bilodeau), Sylvain etSylvie; ses frères et soeurs: Lucille (Bobby), Jocelyne (Ronald), Marcel,Francine (François), Nicole (Maurice) et Daniel (Sylvie); ses petitsenfants: Sébastien (Audrey), Jonathan (Lori), Mathieu (Mireille),Alexandre (Catherine), Michèle et Isabelle; ses arrière-petites-filles:Maeva et Jade (Sébastien); ses 4 belles-soeurs: Stella Mainville (Rhéal),Rev. Sr Marie-Thérèse St-Onge C.N.D., Monique Gallant (feu John) etGabrielle Lefebvre (Roger) (feu Pierre Hughes): ses 2 beaux-frères:Lionel (Georgette Tardi) et feu François (Thérèse Rivest) ainsi que plusieurs, neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et ami(e)s.
Un remerciement spécial aux employé(e)s, infirmier(ière)s, au personnel de l’unité de réadaptation du 4e étage, Dre Gérard et Dre Lainesse de l’Hôpital de Gatineau, ainsi qu’au Dr Gilles Aubé. Un remerciement très particulier à Daniel Brunet, travailleur social et toute l’équipe du CLSC qui a travaillé auprès de notre père durant ces 6 dernières années. Un remerciement au centre de jour la Vigie. Un remerciement spécial au Dre Stéphanie Cormier pour le soutien apporté à la famille; la Résidence Cité-Jardin de Gatineau; merci à Mme Banville, M. et Mme Gagnon pour avoir si bien pris soin de notre père et aux employé(e)s de la résidence. Notre père a eu une pensée spéciale pour tous ses ami(e)s de la Cité-Jardin, il les aimait sincèrement.
Dons: Notre père était un ex-fumeur avec une maladie MPOC terminal donc pour ceux qui le désirent, des dons à l’association pulmonaire du Québec seraient appréciés.

ERNEST (EMILE) GRATTON
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my dad Ernest (Ernie) Gratton on June 6, 2016 at the age of 81 . I helped him walked into the garden to collect a beautiful bouquet of flowers for mom and then he continued the walk into the light to join is Jeannette (Jeannot).
My father was a people person and was quick to help and assist others. He started his carrier by working 7 years at the RCMP then went on to work in the private sector for 25 years for Laurentians Realties where he made a lifelong friend Rochelle Bourque. Then at the age of 55, he was laidoff, took computer courses and went on to work for Revenue Canada (CRA) where he he retired at the age of 74. He also worked at the Crown Plaza hotel as well as other hotels in the Hull-Gatineau area on week-ends throughout his life. He worked full-time for 59 years.
I want to give special thanks the his friends from Revenue Canada ( CRA): Stella, Earla, Cathy, Micheline, Jennifer and Elia. The years after the passing of my mom were very difficult and you stood by him as true friends do, merci.
I also want to thank from the bottom of my heart my mother’s sisters; aunts Stella (Réal) Mainville and Thérèse St-Onge for keeping in contact with dad, he loved mom’s family dearly .
Preceaded by his wife Jeannette (Jeannot) née St-Onge, he lives 4 children behind: Lucie , Charles, Sylvie and Sylvain, 6 grand-children: Sébastien and Jonathan, (Lucie), Matthieu and Alexandre (Charles), Michele and Isabelle (Sylvie), 2 great-grand-children: Maeva and Jade (Sébastien).
He also leaves behind his mother: Laurence Gratton (née Osborne) of 102 year old with whom he would have dinner with every evening at la residence Cité Jardin in Gatineau, Québec. As well as brothers and sisters.

le samedi 18 juin à 10h00. SATURDAY, JUNE 18th, 2016.
