C'est avec une grande tristesse et un cœur lourd que nous annonçons le décès de Anuruch (Root) Tongsa à l'âge de 54 ans. Root est décédé à l'Hôpital Montfort le samedi 29 mai 2021 entouré de sa famille immédiate. Il manquera beaucoup à sa femme Sudjai Chittanonh, ses fils Benjamin et Jérémie Beaulieu Tongsa ainsi que sa sœur ainée. Il a été prédécédé par sa mère et Lucie Beaulieu, sa chère première femme et mère de ses fils. Il avait une forte personnalité. Il est bien connu dans la communauté Thai et a servi comme président de l’association Thai d’Ottawa pendant un mandat.
Comme beaucoup d’entre vous le savent déjà, Root aimait beaucoup la pêche, c’est ce qui occupait ses temps libres. Il était un bon jardinier et un grand jardin de légumes frais et fines herbes occupait sa cour arrière. En tant que chef et propriétaire de Chez le Thai, il a offert de délicieux repas à des milliers de personnes au cours des 21 dernières années. Sa plus grande passion était de préparer des plats savoureux pour ensuite les partager. Ses amis et sa famille se sont sentis privilégier de vivre tous ces moments joyeux et très festifs en sa présence. De nombreux rassemblements privés au restaurant et le charmant patio arrière resteront gravés dans nos cœurs. Les amis disent que tu étais un personnage drôle mais plus que tout, on dit que tu avais un très grand cœur et nous ne t’oublierons pas! Merci à toi Root pour tous ces bons moments, tu étais un hôte sans pareil… Dans le respect de ses souhaits, seule une cérémonie privée aura lieu après la crémation. En guise de sympathie, des dons à un organisme de bienfaisance de votre choix seraient appréciés au lieu de fleurs.

คุณอนุรท (รุท) ทองสา ได้ถึงแก่กรรมเมื่อเช้าวันเสาร์ที่ 29 พฤษภาคม ค.ศ. 2021 ในวัย 54 ปี ที่โรงพยาบาลมงฟอร์ต ท่ามกลางครอบครัวอันเป็นที่รักคือ คุณสุดใจ จิตรนนท์ (ภรรยา), คุณเบนจาแมง โบลิเออร์ ทองสา (บุตรคนโต), และคุณเจอรมี โบลิเออร์ ทองสา (บุตรคนเล็ก) ทางครอบครัวจึงขอแจ้งข่าวมายังญาติมิตรด้วยความโศกเศร้าและอาลัยรักอย่างสุดซึ้ง คุณอนุรุทจะเป็นที่รักและคิดถึงของครอบครัวรวมทั้งพี่สาวของเขาตลอดไป
ณ บัดนี้ ขอให้ดวงวิญญาณของเขาเดินทางสู่สุคติเพื่อพบกับผู้เป็นที่รักที่ได้จากไปก่อน คือมารดาของเขา และคุณลูซี่ โบลิเออร์ ภรรยาคนแรกและมารดาของบุตรทั้งสอง
เมื่อยังมีชีวิตอยู่ คุณอนุรุทได้ใช้ชีวิตอย่างเต็มสมบูรณ์ทุกประการ เขามีมิตรสหายมากมาย และได้ใช้เวลาอย่างเป็นสุข ได้ร่วมดื่มกินกับมิตรสหายเสมอมา คุณอนุรุทเป็นที่รู้จักดีในหมู่ชุมชนชาวไทย และเคยดำรงตำแหน่งนายกสมาคมไทย ณ กรุงออตตาวาหนึ่งสมัย เขามีงานอดิเรกหลายด้าน รวมไปถึงการตกปลาและการปลูกพืชผักสวนครัวเพื่อใช้ในการประกอบอาหาร
ในฐานะเชฟและเจ้าของร้านอาหาร ‘เชเลอไทย’ คุณอนุรุทได้ประกอบอาหารจานเด็ดเพื่อบริการแก่ลูกค้าของร้านและมิตรสหายนับพันนับหมื่นคนในกรุงออตตาวามาตลอดระ
ยะเวลา 21 ปี เพราะการทำอาหารที่ดีที่สุดและอร่อยที่สุดคือความพึงพอใจสูงสุดของเขา พวกเราจึงต้องขอบคุณฝีมือขั้นเทพของคุณอนุรุท ที่ทำให้ได้ลิ้มลองของอร่อยอยู่เสมอ
หลายปีที่ผ่านมา มีความทรงจำมากมายเกิดขึ้น ณ ลานกว้างหลังร้านอาหารของคุณอนุรุทที่จะประทับอยู่ในหัวใจของมิตรสหายอย่างมิรู้ลืม บรรดาเพื่อนสนิทของคุณอนุรุทมักกล่าวถึงเขาว่าเป็นคนสนุกสนานและสุดเหวี่ยง แต่ที่สำคัญเหนืออื่นใด เขาเป็นผู้มีหัวใจอันยิ่งใหญ่ไพศาล ซึ่งเราจะไม่สามารถลืมได้โดยง่ายเลย
เพื่อเป็นการแสดงความเคารพต่อเจตจำนงของผู้วายชนม์ ภายหลังการฌาปนกิจเสร็จสิ้น ทางครอบครัวจะจัดพิธีเล็ก ๆ เพื่อรำลึกถึงคุณอนุรุทเป็นการส่วนตัวภายในครอบครัว หากท่านใดที่ต้องการส่งกำลังใจให้กับครอบครัว ท่านสามารถทำได้ด้วยการบริจาค ทำบุญ หรือประกอบกุศลกิจตามศรัทธาและทางเลือกของท่านเอง แทนการส่งดอกไม้ทุกชนิด จักขอบพระคุณยิ่ง

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Anuruch (Root) Tongsa at the age of 54. Root passed away at the Montfort Hospital on Saturday May 29, 2021 surrounded by his immediate family. He will be dearly missed by his wife Sudjai Chittanonh, sons Benjamin Beaulieu Tongsa and Jeremie Beaulieu Tongsa as well as his older sister. He is predeceased by his mother and Lucie Beaulieu, his dear first wife and mother of his sons.
He lived life large and over the years shared many meals and good times with friends and family. He was well known in the Thai community and served one term as the President of the Thai Association of Ottawa. He had many favorite hobbies including fishing and growing a large garden with fresh vegetables and herbs for cooking.
As chef and owner of Chez le Thai, he provided delicious meals to thousands of restaurant guests as well as close friends over the past 21 years. His biggest passion was making superb meals and our taste buds thank you Root for your perfectionism and sharing this gift of yours.
Many memorable private gatherings at the restaurant and charming back patio will remain etched in our hearts. Friends say that you were a wild and crazy guy but most of all, you had such a big heart and we won't soon forget you!
Respecting his wishes, only a private ceremony will be held following cremation. As an expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers
