Joan was a very special person, she will be deeply missed , what comfort us is that she left they way she always wanted. I had the chance to work with Joan for 15 years, I will always remember her as a very kind person, intelligent women with a great sense of humor. We have done a great job at the Bank of Canada and we always try to kept a good sense of humor, we were like a family.
Love you Joan, xx

It is with great sadness that I learn the passing of Joan. She was a friend and a colleague on our Condominium Board of Directors and I will miss her kind spirit.
An animal lover she proudly shared the latest caper her beloved cat had achieved on her floor. I’ve known her to be a compassionate individual and very warm person.
My deepest sympathy to her family.

I had the pleasure of working with Joan at the Bank of Canada. She worked hard and yet kept her team close making sure everyone took a daily break together. She was friendly, intelligent, kind and had a great sense of humour. It was a pleasure working with her. My sincere sympathy to her family and friends.

It is so sad to hear about Joan. My thoughts are with her family during this sad time. Joan was such a caring person, she was a great friend and I was also an employee of the Bank of Canada. Joan had a great sense of humour and we had a lot of laughs over the years. May she rest in peace.

My heart is heavy with the loss of my dear friend Joan. She was a big part of my life and her passing has left a huge hole in it. Classmates for 11 years, roommates for 8 years during our early working days and even colleagues at the Bank of Canada for a short while. I've got so many fond memories of Joan...from countless hours of playing back gammon to entertaining vacuum cleaner salesman till 3 am trying to stand up to the pressure sales, to the many road trips we took. She was the best damned co-pilot there ever was even though she never drove a day in her life. She had a great sense of humour and had a contagious laugh. Life was anything but boring with her. Will miss you Joan...rest in peace.

It was indeed a shock and profound sadness on the death of Joan who served as the secretary for the Board of Directors at CCC 47, Chateau Vanier Tower C since 2006. She was a kind soul and worked hard on the Board for years. She loved her cats and spoke of them at our meetings, especially when they escaped into the hallway. She will be missed. Our sincere condolences.

I too, met Joan through the Bank of Canada. She became my friend, room mate, bridesmaid, and true confidant. I will miss our chats, discussions, and most of all her laughter. I am truly blessed to have had her as my friend. I will treasure the memories and time I had with her and be forever grateful.
I will miss you terribly!

Joan
To my dearest friend and a dear friend of many. I am so fortunate and grateful that you are on almost every page of my 5-year diary between the ages of 13 and 18 - so many laughs we had when we re-read it a few years ago; so happy that you served as my bridesmaid, and being the comforting face I found in the congregation at my father's funeral. Most of all I am so fortunate and grateful that you were always there to listen and comfort me with your honest opinion and matter-of-fact way of looking at life. You have left me with so many good memories. I am so thankful to God for calling to you in a such peaceful way, even though it was too soon. You are sadly missed.
To Terry, John, Karen, Glen, Paul, Philip and Denny - my very deepest condolences.
