We are sad to announce the passing of Gerald Bourbonnais on April 9th, 2026 at the age of 80, following a courageous battle with cancer. He will be dearly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.
Beloved husband of Celine Bessette and former husband of Linda Miltimore, dear father to Robert (late Kelly) and Jo-Anne Bourbonnais; stepfather to Helene Guay (Michel Leblanc), Gabrielle Guay and Robert Mohid (Carole) and cherished grandfather to Valerie, Camille and Sophie Bourbonnais, to Laurence and Camille Guay-Leblanc, Emilie, Catherine and Eve Turnel and to Nicolas Mohid. He is also survived by his brothers Arthur (Sharon) and Raymond (Jean) and his stepsister Jacqueline Sincennes (the late Gérald).
Predeceased by his parents Rosario and Gracia Dubois Bourbonnais, his brother Edmond Bourbonnais, his aunt Laurette Bourbonnais, his uncle Leo Carrière and his stepsister Aline Lanois (the late Rogathe).
A Celebration of life will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, at 95 de la Cité-des-Jeunes Boulevard in Gatineau (Hull sector) on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 2 pm. The family will receive condolences as of 1:30 pm.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Hull Hospital for the good care provided and also dear friends and neighbours for all their prayers and well wishes

Nous sommes tristes d'annoncer le décès de Gerald Bourbonnais survenu le 9 avril 2026 à l'âge de 80 ans, après un combat courageux contre le cancer. Il nous manquera énormément et aura toujours une place dans nos cœurs.
Il était l’époux bien-aimé de Céline Bessette et ancien mari de Linda Miltimore. Il était le cher père de Robert (feu Kelly) et Jo-Anne Bourbonnais, le beau-père de Hélène Guay (Michel Leblanc), Gabrielle Guay et Robert Mohid (Carole) et le grand-père chéri de Valérie, Camille et Sophie Bourbonnais, de Laurence et Camille Guay-Leblanc, Emilie, Catherine et Eve Turnel et de Nicolas Mohid. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses frères Arthur (Sharon) et Raymond (Jean) ainsi que sa belle-sœur Jacqueline Sincennes (feu Gérald).
Il fut prédécédé par ses parents Rosario et Gracia Dubois Bourbonnais, son frère Edmond Bourbonnais, sa tante Laurette Bourbonnais, son oncle Leo Carrière et sa belle-sœur Aline Lanois (feu Rogthe).
Une célébration de la vie aura lieu au COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, au 95, boulevard de la Cité-des-Jeunes à Gatineau (secteur Hull) le dimanche 17 mai 2026 à 14 h. La famille recevra ses condoléances à compter de 13 h 30.
La famille tient à remercier les médecins et le personnel infirmier de l'Hôpital de Hull pour les bons soins prodigués, ainsi que ses chers amis et voisins pour toutes leurs prières et leur soutien.
