It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of
Martin Bélec
on July 26, 2020, in his 54th year. He was the beloved spouse of Debra Wigney and the son of the late Denis Bélec. He is survived by his loving mother Alberte; his sisters and his brother : Danielle (Greg), Adèle (André) and Jean-Denis (Anny) as well as his nieces : Annie, Caroline and his nephew Vincent. He also leaves behind his parents-in-law : Melvin and Lorraine Wigney; his brothers-in-law and his sisters-in-law : Douglas (Diane), Darlene (Georges), Donna (Serge) and Derek (Rachel), as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Martin will be sorely missed by many and he will never be forgotten by his family and friends.
Due to the actual circumstances, a religious service will take place at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, a donation can be made to the “Fabrique de la paroisse de Saint-Pierre-de-Wakefield”.
The family wishes to thank the first responders for their care and support throughout this ordeal.

I'm still in shock to hear that Martin has passed away.He was taken away too soon He was a great cousin to me and I have very fond memories. I am at least eased that he has joined his lovely father Uncle Denis will take care of him. May he rest in peace and God look over him and you all.

To all the Belec family
I know my father would have written something great but unfortunately he can't right now so I will try. With the loss of a loved one no matter how old, the pain and sorrow is great I know Martin would want you to remember the good time, laughter and hugs. He touched everyone he met that I am sure. We never know when a loved one will be taken so treasure each day, make memories that will take you thru these time.

Mon cher Martin, mon frère adoré
Tu nous a quitté subitement et je resens un grand vide en dedans de moi. Je n'arrive pas à le croire mais les journées passent sans que je recoive un appel de toi comme tu avais l'habitude de le faire. Je manque tes visites à la maison et au chalet, au bord du lac. Ma vie ne sera plus pareil mais je te promet que je ferai le mieux que je pourrai, avec la force que tu me donneras, pour retrouver la joie de vivre et la vivre pleinement, comme tu l'aurais voulu. Veillle sur nous tous de la haut et repose en paix mon 'What's Up'.

So sorry to hear of your sudden and tragic loss. It came as a great surprise. Martin was always so happy and easy going. He will be greatly missed. Our sympathies to you and Martin's extended family.
