DESJARDINS, Lucien

The Desjardins family regrets to announce the passing of Mr. LUCIEN DESJARDINS on March 13, 2014 at the age of 84. Husband of the late Nicole Brisson and the late Hélène LaPointe. Son of the late Trefflé Desjardins and the late Mériza (Poirier) Lafleur. He leaves behind his companion Gisèle Corbeil and her children. He is survived by his children : Micheline (Jean- Paul Lavoie), Mireille (Jack LaPointe), Claude , Francine (Dr. Neal Johnson), Esther (Ross Brayne), René-Luc (Brenda North) and Lucie (Guy Benoit) ; his grandchildren : Mark and Phillip Huff, Marjolaine and Josef LaPointe , Jean-Philippe and Pascale Geoffrion, Lise-Anne and Francis J. Desjardins, Simon Desjardins; his great-grandchildren : Xander, Merrick, Samuel and Phoebe Huff, Shki-Ziigwan and Bnajaaenhs LaPointe, Msko-Giizhik Smoke-LaPointe, Mackenzie Pamment. He also leaves his brothers and sisters: Laurette (late Ray Bonenfant), Jacques (late Denise Duhaime), Claire (Bob Poirier), André (Jacqueline), Claudette (Michel Bellehumeur) and Pierre (Georgette Giroux), his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The celebration will be held, with the ashes, at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais located at 95 Cité -des-Jeunes Blvd. in Gatineau (Hull sector ) on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive condolences 30 minutes prior to the service. The family wishes to thank La maison Mathieu-Froment-Savoie for their care and deep compassion for our father and our family. Donations to La maison Mathieu -Froment –Savoie would be appreciated.
