Louis Martineau 1949-2019

Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Friday September 27th.

Beloved son of Madeleine and Richard (deceased) Martineau,

Brother of Josée (Bill Rourke), Tom (Diane Schmidt), Ann, Peter (Judith Schmid).  Uncle to Michael Martineau (Olivia), Martin Rourke (Jessica), Kevin Martineau.  Great Uncle to David and Hudson Martineau, Madilyn and Ellie Rourke.

Louis was a kind and gentle man who faced challenges with patience and dignity.  He was devoted to family and friends.  He will be missed yet remembered for his good nature and sense of humour.

Thank you to staff and residents of Baycrest Residence (2014-2019) and recently Forest Valley Terrace (August & September 2019) for their care and friendship. Louis received excellent care recently at Montfort Hospital, Bruyère Geriatric Rehab and the Ottawa Hospital General campus. 

A private family interment will take place at a future date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Louis’ memory to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the charity of your choice.

Josée, Tom, Ann and Peter

Michael and I are really saden by the sudden death of Louis. We remember with fond memories when he came to England with tante Madeleine in the early 1990. We visited a National Trust House in the West Country and had a good day. Accept our condolences.
