Mr. John Robert Cook

Following an unexpected diagnosis of a very rare, progressive and untreatable disease, John Robert passed on November 22, 2019, at the age of 83. He is at peace.

Cherished husband of the late Marie-Hermance Carrier, he is survived by his daughters : Susan Michelle (Sheldon) and Caroline; his grandchildren : Shayne (Tarna), Sarah, Nikolas, Naithan (Jackie) and his great-grandchildren : Drake, Quorra and Beckett. He leaves many nieces, nephews and friends. He is also predeceased by his daughter Mary, his sister Violet Culkeen (Charlie), his mother Anne Everton and step-father Walter Grimshaw.

Visitations will be held on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais located at 1369, La Vérendrye Ouest blvd., Gatineau, QC. The funeral celebration will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Parish located at 300, l’Abbé-Murray Street, Gatineau, QC.

Your expressions of sympathy can best be expressed in a donation to the Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders (CORD), the Rare Disease Foundation, or the Gatineau Health Foundation.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Gatineau hospital for their compassionate care and support to the family provided over the last month.
