GOUIN, Jacques

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful death of Jacques Gouin on September 23rd, at the age of 85.

Husband of the late Noëlla Hamel and son of late Arthur Gouin and of late Yvonne Cabana. He leaves behind his children : Paulette (late Guy), Diane and Chantal (Daniel); his grandchildren : Éric, Pierre-Luc (Alexandre) and Marie-Ève (David); his great-granchildren : Alice and Mathias. He also leaves his brothers and sisters : Jean-Guy (Josée), Carol (late Lise), Claudette (late Maurice), Lucie (Jacques), Claire (Jean-Guy) and Ginette (late Rhéal) and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers : Jean-Claude, Marcel, André and Richard as well as by his sisters : Denise and Ghislaine.

M. Gouin was retired from the Ottawa Citizen after a long carreer, he worked all his life for the well being of his family.

As requested by the family, a private ceremony will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the palliative team of Gatineau Hospital for the good service.

Family of Mr. Gouin

Me and my brothers worked for Mr. Gouin as Ottawa Citizen newspaper carriers in the City View / Crestview area of Nepean back in the '70's. We would see him on school days; he was always on time and always of great cheer. He would drop off our bundles of the Citizen on time every day, so we could deliver our Ottawa Citizen routes after school and be home for supper. He was always nice. He was always funny. RIP Mr. Gouin
