HURTUBISE, Gérard

1921 - 2019

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of

Gérard Hurtubise

on December 29, 2019, at the Hull Hospital at the age of 98.

Beloved husband of the late Henriette Hurtubise (Gagnon), son of the late Maria Séguin and the late René Hurtubise.  Predeceased by his sister Fleurette (Roger Gauthier) as well as by many brothers and sisters-in-law.

He was the loving father of Robert (Judy Sparks) and Michel; proud grandfather of Nicole (Regan Watts) and great-grandfather to Ella and Henry Watts.  He will also be missed by his brother-in-law Henri Primeau as well as by many nephews, nieces and friends.

Gerry served overseas in the RCAF from 1942 to 1945, which was then followed by a long career in the Public Service of Canada.

The celebration of prayers will be held at the COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L'OUTAOUAIS, at 95, Cité-des-Jeunes Bvld, in Gatineau (Hull sector), at a later date in the spring.

For those who wish to do so, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

So sorry for your loss and we know that you will miss him so much but he had a good and long life and was a very special father, father in law, grandfather and great grand grandfather etc. to all until he got so sick. I am sure that he is enjoying his new life and is not feeling any sickness or pain now. We are sending lots of love, hugs, sympathy and prayers to you during this time of sadness and mourning.
