Dora Gaudreau Couillard

On March 22 2019 Dora Gaudreau Couillard left us peacefully at the age of 92 with grace and serenity.

Born in St Leonard NB and the daughter of deceased Rose Tardif and Alfred Gaudreau, she was married to the love of her life Georges Henri Couillard for more than 65 years. Their union brought them three children she cherished with the force of an unleashed river in the spring time. Denis (Michèle Pichette), Michel (Margaret Koehn) and Anne (Michael Ricco) will cherish the memory of Maman Dora’s  beautiful laughter as a result of their  shenanigans. 

Her grand children Mikaelle, Vanessa, Laéna, Mathieu, Paul and Melissa, as well as Valérie and Vincent Fournier, will remember the image of a grand-maman who was gentle, attentive and generous. The 9 great-grand children of the large Couillard family will carry her smile and her bright eyes. All those who met her - cousins, nieces, nephews, large extended family and many friends will remember this distinguished lady.  

As soon as she arrived in the Perley community in 2013, Dora was surrounded by generous, kind, attentive staff who honestly cared deeply about her wellbeing. A special thank you to Dr Michèle Raymond as well as all the staff at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre.  

In lieu of flowers, a donation In Memoriam to the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated. A service will take place at Perley Rideau’s Lupton Hall on April 13 at 11 am.
