Elin, Harriet and family

Carl was one of Canada’s great modern-time land surveyors. In the footsteps of the likes of George Mercer Dawson, Carl had a distinguished career with the International Boundary Commission (IBC). His work achievements at IBC remain an inspiration for all of us.
I had the privilege of working for Carl has a junior land surveyor, under his mentorship and guidance I discovered the beauties and challenges of land surveying in Canada.

Carl was also a true “Homme de la Renaissance”, his deep knowledge of so many fields of human activity, his curiosity, and his fantastic memory made him such an interesting person to be with. I have many fond memories of great discussions we had and how these exchanges were inspirational for me.

Rest in peace my dear friend,
Stephan Moresoli

Harriet, Elin, Harvey, Jean and Andrea

My deepest condolences for your loss. Carl was my colleague for many years and remember him well for the many life lessons he had to offer. Always a good story to tell, a hard worker and a boundary man. One of the best, using his talent to make the finest of monuments on the Canada-US border. Tough as nails, a voyager with a heart of gold. I will always remember him in thought and in prayer.

The Family

I am a former employee of Preston Hardware and I remember serving Carl many times in the 6 years I was employed there. I remember him fondly, he was always kind and would stop for a little chat whenever possible. My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I think of Carl often. He called and said he was going but it is still very difficult to believe.
