TETREAULT, Brian

1961 - 2021

Brian Roy Tetreault passed away on December 15, 2021 at the age of 60.  He leaves behind his two loving daughters, Ashley (Craig) and Stephanie (Adam), his brother David (Louise) and his sister-in-law Louise.

The celebration of his life will be held on Thursday July 7th at 2pm at The British Hotel Restaurant and Pub (71 Principale St Gatineau Qc J9H3L6). Everyone is welcome.

Born on May 17, 1961 in Montreal, Brian was predeceased by his father Ernest Tetreault, his mother Joan Tetreault (nee Nurse) and his brother Blair Tetreault.  Brian was the cherished grandfather to six beautiful grandchildren: Theodore, Logan, Spencer, Brooklyn, Jonathan and Thomas.  He will be dearly missed by his adoring nieces and nephews: Jennifer (Brent), Lindsay (Keegan), Scott, Kevin (Kathryn) and Darcy.

Brian was a passionate athlete who excelled at hockey, football and soccer.  He also loved to ride his bike through the Gatineau Hills and the bike trails of Ottawa and, in the winter, he enjoyed swimming early morning laps in the pool.  Brian was an ardent supporter of the Terry Fox Foundation and he participated yearly in the Terry Fox Run since 1991.  His passion and dedication for this event became an annual tradition for him, his daughters and grandchildren.

Brian was a likeable, compassionate and resilient man who treated everyone with kindness and respect.  He was very proud of his family and admired each member for his or her uniqueness.  He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that consideration be given to charitable donations in Brian’s memory to either the Terry Fox Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Brian Roy Tetreault

Good Afternoon,
It is with great sadness that I learned of Brian's passing. My name is Mark Smith and Brian and I were in the armed forces together. We went through the infantry school, after which we were stationed together in Gagetown, New Brunswick. The last time I saw Brian was in 1997 or 1998 when my wife Jill and I were in Ottawa. We all had a very good time catching up around a campfire in your backyard. I'm very sorry we didn't stay in touch. I guess time and distance eventually steers you in other directions. Brian was a very good friend. I have many fond memories and still value the comradery we had. I will remember him. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Also please let me know of any services or memorials you plan to have. I will make every effort to be there if it's possible.
Sincerely,
Mark Smith
