Madame Anne Hébert
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Anne Hébert on July 10th, 2017 in Gatineau, at the age of 40.
Beloved wife of Raymond Jess and daughter of Yvon Hébert and of Susan Kozak. She also leaves behind her loving daughter Aoibhe. She leaves as well her brother Daniel; her sisters: Sylvie (Peter) and Nicole (Dominique) and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
The celebration of her life will be held privately with her family.

I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with Anne in CSL and I liked her very much, she always had a smile and we shared many conversations, she spoke of you both frequently and with much love. It was a pleasure to work with her and get to know her.

We are deeply distressed to hear of Anne's passing R.I.P. The happiness we have had in the company of Anne, Raymond and Aoibhe on their visits to Ireland every summer will be forever in our thoughts. We both enjoyed her friendship and generous hospitality on our visits to Canada. We so looked forward every Sunday to seeing her cheerful smile on Facetime. We are devastated.

Anne was such a joy to know during my time at Concordia. There were some rough patches in those years that Anne helped me get through. I am so deeply saddened to hear of her passing and send my love to you all.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Anne's passing. I lived with Anne for a short period of time in Edinburgh, Scotland. She was such a bright, caring and effervescent person and i have fond memories of laughs shared. My heart goes out to her daughter and husband. My sincerest condolences.

I worked with Anne at the CSL Library. She was a lovely person and so proud of her daughter. Quite often, members of the public would ask to speak specifically to her as she had been so helpful to them. This says a lot about her patience and kindness with the people coming to the Library. I met Anne when she was 17. We kept in contact through all of these years. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I visited her in Ireland and in Montreal. She was very dear to me and I am very sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to Raymond and the Hebert family. She will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry to hear this. I had the pleasure to work with Anne in CSL and she was an amazing lady. Always had a smile and was easy to talk to. She helped me get through some hard times just with her talks. She will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky to have ever worked with her. My heart goes out to all of you.
I will miss Anne so much, words cannot begin to express. She was kind hearted, generous and hilarious- one of the best storytellers I've met in my life who often made me laugh until my sides hurt. Anne was a dear friend and a bright light in my life, and I will always keep her in my thoughts.

This news broke my heart and I am sorry for your loss. Anne and I both started working at CSL at the same time, and she was a great co-worker and a friend. We had many great discussions about her life, her travels, her family and her daughter. She encouraged me to push my boundaries and to travel the world while I am still young. I am grateful of her advice and of the friendship we shared. She had the gift to make anyone smile and to bring joy to anyone's day. May you take comfort in knowing that she had left many who will not forget her.

I'm sorry for your loss. I worked with Anne at CSL and she was a friend. She had a wicked sense of humour and her kindness knew no bounds. I will miss her. My thoughts are with you and yours.
We were truly lucky to have Anne as part of our Ottawa Public Library family, if only for a short time. Her genuine passion for serving the community, her compassion for colleagues and customers, and her generous and kind spirit, will be missed. She made a difference in our workplace in such a short time, and our hearts are broken. Thinking of all of you, and wishing you comfort and courage.
Anne was only in my life for a few short weeks her at OPL, and yet she made me feel like we had been friends forever. Drawn to her personality, and her quick wit, she always made me feel equal and appreciated. I was shocked when I heard the news of her passing, and I felt bereft of the friendship that could have been. My heart goes out to the entire family in this time.
Aoibhe, know that your mom will always be with you. Watching and guiding, gently letting you know of her presence. Treasure the small breezes on a windless day, or those unexpected scents that seem to come from nowhere, for those are your mother’s kisses.

I am so sorry your loss and for the world's loss. Anne was an amazing person, with whom I had the pleasure of working at the Neuro and at the CSL library. Anne was the kindest, funniest, loveliest person. She had a sarcastic streak, without ever being unkind. I will miss her and always remember her.
Though I did not know Anne, I wish I had. I am an employee of OPL and looked forward to meeting her, a great friend of Alexandra's. I hope fond memories will one day heal your broken hearts.

Pendant le mois que tu as habité avec nous (Adeel et moi), tu as été un rayon de soleil dans nos vies. Une femme extraordinaire, Avec tant d'empathie, de gentillesse et un sens de l'humour incroyable! Je t'admire tellement, Anne! C'était vraiment un honneur de t'avoir dans ma vie, depuis l'enfance. J'entends encore ta voix, ton rire. Je te vois assise à notre table, toute souriante, si passionnée lorsque tu nous parlais d'Ancestry! Anne tu vas me manquer énormément. Anne travaillait dans le bureau à coté du mien, mais on se voyait souvent au courant d'une journeé de travail. Comme Anne, j'habite à Gatineau et elle m'a demandé de l'information sur des sujets comme l'impots et l'horaire d'autobus. Une dame très gentile et tojours un grand sourire. Mes sympathies.
