LEFEBVRE GEHAN, Elizabeth (Betty-Jane)
Betty passed away peacefully on November 19th, 2013 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Lefebvre for 51 years. Loving mother to Lisa and Nicole. Cherished Nana to grandchildren Steve, Matthew, Kevin, Benoit, Liticia and Vincent.
She is survived by her sisters Elaine ONeill and Elleanore Parker and her brother Bruce Gehan; her sisters-in-law Lois Gehan, Odette Lefebvre and Edna Watt; her brothers-in-law Douglas Spencer and Johnny Lefebvre.
Predeceased by sister Marlene Spencer and brothers Lorne and Bud Gehan; sisters in-law
Betty Gehan, Lillian Gehan, Madeleine Johnston, Beverley Lefebvre, Jeanne Campbell and
Lorraine Renaud; brothers-in-law: Earl Parker, Charlie Campbell, John ONeil, Gordon Johnston, Ab Renaud, Philippe and Reg Lefebvre.
Betty was kind, gentle and wise. She truly enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She will be missed by her Godchild Susan VanKessel, devoted life-long friend Sheila Mumby as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thanks to family friend Louise Rochon for her outstanding assistance, Normand Boisvert for his support and Dr. Linda Lacroix and Day Medicine at the Montfort Hospital for many years of compassionate care.
Mass will be held at Our Lady of Annunciation Church, 189 Archambault Street, Gatineau (Hull Sector) on Saturday, November 30th, 2013 at 11 a.m. Family will receive visitors at 10:30 a.m. Internment will be held in Tweed, Ontario at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society of Québec, to the Montfort Hospital Foundation or to Our Lady of Annunciation Parish.
