1952-2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful death of Cecil Somerton
on April 26, 2016, at the age of 63.

Beloved partner of Robert Oates and son of the late Cecil Somerton and of the late Geraldine Terrance.

He leaves behind Robert's loving children: Megan (Josh) and Daniel. He also leaves his brother David (Andrée); his sisters: Donna (Armando), Gail (Pierre) and Deborah (Bren); his nephews: Andrew, Jason and Sean (Linda); his niece Candase (Christopher) and many relatives and friends.  

Visitation will be held at LA COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS, 95,  Blvd de la Cité-des-Jeunes, in Gatineau (Hull sector), on Sunday, May 1st 2016, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.  The funeral service will follow at 6 pm . 

For those who wish to do so, donations to La maison Mathieu Froment-Savoie would be appreciated. 

The family wishes to thank all health care providers for their support and their good care. A special thank you to Donna, Michelle and Megan for their dedication and attention to Cecil.

Donna Je viens d'apprendre le décès de Cecil J e suis profondément attrité. Je vivais en Afrique depuis plusieurs années. e suis revenu fin mai à Aylmer. Je voilais aller le saluer et lu remettre des photos que nous avions du temps que nous vivions ensemblre, Comment pourrais=je te rejoindre et te les remettre et apprendre ce quiest arrivé à Cécil. I just heard of Cecil's passing. I'm so sorry that I missed seeing him again after all of these years. He was and will always be a beautiful memory. He was a special person, one I was privileged to have in my life for a short time while my Dad was stationed in Oromocto, NB. Im so glad he had you and your children and his family by his side.
